Following the announcement on it's Facebook Page from our venue partner, the Vogelmorn Community Group, it is with a heavy heart that the decision has been made to cancel next Saturday's party - Repent on 3 December due to the unavailability of Vogelmorn Hall.
We were informed earlier this week that the Wellington City Council declined the Vogelmorn Community Group's application for a special license to serve alcohol at Vogelmorn Hall on Saturday 3 December. Anthem assisted in efforts to overturn the Council's decision but this failed.
Anthem producer Nathan Brown said the party was faced with two bad choices - move or cancel.
"In the past 24 hours I reached out to every performance artist, crew member, supplier and partner to seek their input and guidance. Following careful consideration, it was the fairly unanimous view of all involved that moving Repent to a new venue, in so little time, while building the momentum of ticket sales during this important final stage would be impossible," says Nathan.
Ticket transfers and refunds
An email is on its way to all ticketholders giving everyone the choice of a refund less creditcard fees and booking fee OR transferring the ticket to Anthem's next date on Saturday 11 March for the Wellington Pride Parade Afterparty. Ticket transfers are automatic for all tickets and no action for this is required. Refunds may be requested by replying to this email.
